Online Violin Lessons Via Skype/Webcam
Q: I already have a teacher at school why have another online tuition ?Ans: The objective of the online lesson is to make sure the practice you do at home is correct and productive. Having another teacher listen to your scales and pieces while you practice at home makes a big difference to your overall improvement.
Q: I cannot afford two teachers a week.
Ans: The lessons you do online are guaranteed to be a lot cheaper that a regular lesson. Besides you can set the frequency of lessons to your convenience and only pay when the lesson does happen.
Q: Iam already doing quite well with my progress, I dont need separate lessons.
Ans: Then why not try a mock exam? Play your pieces and scales as if it were a real exam, in front of me and it will be a reahearsal for the real exam.
Q: Does this really work? I have never heard of anyone doing a violin lesson via skype
Ans: The video and voice clarity over broadband internet and skype is quite amazing and the setup doesnt cost anything extra! Besides you cant beat the convenience of doing a lesson right from the comfort of your home.
Q: What about cost and timings?
Ans: I charge $9 for a 40 mins lesson. I am based out of India and usually hold classes on saturday or sunday evenings. Depending on your timezone we can work out a mutually acceptable lesson schedule.
I can help you setup your webcam and microphone so that I can hear and see you clearly. I can also help tune your violin by giving you specific instructions to adjust the pegs or the fine tuners. Once we are all setup we can go over any one piece or set of scales of your choice.
